And there we have it, the results we've anticipated.
There were mixed emotions, some feeling depressed, never contented, and some otherwise.
Then we start all the comparisons again, thinking to ourselves; if I could've done better.
Sometimes we might question our own abilities, wondering why our targets weren't met;
why we couldn't achieve the same results as those 3.8s and 3.9s did.
That's not the point. The remarkable and commendable thing was the effort we were willing to put in.
The grade we've got depends much on our understanding. Not to pick on one who has done better, doing better doesn't mean you're smarter, and doing not as well as those who are at the top doesn't mean you're poor, provided you didn't put in any effort.
The ones who done better merely catch things faster, and the rest just need more time to grab hold of things.
Setting a target also doesn't mean you need to achieve it, it's just a push; an encouragement to perhaps score a grade better or such. Unless you're consistent, how often can you hit bulls-eye?
We are all of people with differences, we are good at different things.
So why compare? It's just unjust for yourself.
Set others as your benchmark, make a target for yourself.
Give yourself a pat, you've done what you could, so move on.
That's what I'm going to do, and so should you.
