SINGAPORE 3:50 PM
Time flies.
Arrived at Brisbane airport on the saturday morning. Cleared immigration and travelled to Sunshine Coast approximately hundred kilometres away by car. Checked into a resort apartment, and had a nice view of the Pacific Ocean. Rested for awhile and headed to Marcoola Beach. It was really windy and cool there. Dined back at the apartment, before taking a very early sleep about 7.00pm, Singapore time.
Visited the Buderim's Ginger Factory on Sunday, whereby they shows the production of Ginger, as well as other products made of Ginger. Had lunch there, whereby their burgers were like enormously huge. Twice the size of Big Mac maybe? Left for Montville, a place where the houses were all English types back in the olden days. Spent time walking about, before it got really foggy and cold as it was located at the mountain top. Left in the late afternoon back to the apartment.
I highly anticipated Monday. Went to the Big Kart Track for karting, and spent nearly an hour racing there. There was a period where there were only three karts on the track and I could go top speed. Then came many Australians who were recklessly fast, and I couldn't go fast as the rules of the track must be strictly adhered to. After the karting session, my head stink because of their helmets like seriously. Visited the Glass House Mountains, and trekked Mount Tibrogargan before making a move.
Woke up especially early on Tuesday, at around 6.00am Brisbane time, which is about 4.00am Singapore just to watch football. Manchester United against Arsenal, and disappointingly Arsenal lost. So forget it. Had breakfast and stuff, before heading to Kondalilla National Parks to admire the waterfalls and more mountain trekking. Packed up after dinner.
Checked out of the apartment on Wednesday morning, and visited Eumundi, whereby there's a market selling lots of stuffs. It was really hot there, walked about. After those walking, went to Gold Coast, about two hundred kilometres away from Eumundi. When we were almost reaching the destination, a sudden hail storm struck, and ice started falling from the sky. It left dents and scratches on the car, and fortunately not smashing the windscreen. Saw damages on the road, like broken wheel rims and stuff. Safely reached Gold Coast and checked into a new apartment.
Went to Movie World on Thursday. The day whereby I was forced to test my fear of heights. Went for the Scooby Doo: Spooky Coaster ride, thinking that it will be some mild roller coaster. But unexpectedly, it just freaked me out and left me gasping for air. At the front of the ride was a little thrilling, just some turns. Then it was elevated all the way up, possibly two to three storeys high, couldn't see well in the dark. And the coaster fell backwards. Started to freak out, and it rotated 180 degrees before suddenly picking up its power that it went so fast on the corners and two sudden rises and drops. It was crazy, went for simulators and stuffs. And went for the Superman Escape roller coaster, it took off to 100km/h within 2 seconds, and was at 4.2 G-force. I could hardly keep my head up when it was dropped 90 degrees down. That really blew my mind. It started raining, had lunch in there before making a move.
Went to Surfer's Paradise on Friday, it's a place just like Orchard except that it has a magnificent beach there. Walked around, had lunch and stuffs. Then went to Byron Bay to get a look at the lighthouse, it was really far away. It's scenery was really nice as you get to see the ocean and small houses from the top of the mountain. It was really windy up there. Left after the dark clouds set it. Started to rain on the way back, and lightning struck a town whereby all the traffic lights went off. The conditions were quite bad. Went to some shopping centre, which we visited a few times in the week already. Left at evening, and watched the lightning from ninth floor of the apartment. It was so windy at that time too. Had our final dinner, and packed up for the trip home.
Saturday, which was yesterday, we left for Brisbane Airport, another approximately hundred kilometres drive or so. Ate lunch, then waited for the flight. A guy who looked like Kang Cheng Xi was flight steward and walked in the gate. It was a fast seven hour as I just looked out the window most of the time, and watched movies. Landed safely, and saw the guy's name tag and he was definitely Kang Cheng Xi. Looks like he left showbiz for a better job.
One week sure past fast. It will be quite some time before I can go on a holiday again.
